Are you Looking Forward to School?

My opinion on NOT looking forward to school: Tomorrow, I face my horror, and that is (sob) school! Oh, I have forgotten every bit of my school work, but now it's time to face it! Blogging has been the best experience ever! At an estimate, I might post three times a week - that's what I would normally do. All of these back to school commercials make me want to cry, but apart from that, being with my friends will cheer me up. Parents may be jumping with glee and the people of the world may be joining them, but they might have forgotten that they have work themselves - only 20% of people in my country like the work they're in, 80% actually hate there jobs! I hope I'll have time to keep on blogging. School may push it aside *JOKES* - I will never stop blogging! Remember students, sleep in, even if your parents push you to wake up.

My opinion on looking forward to school:
Tomorrow is the day! WOOOHOO! Isn't it exciting! You get to wear your brand new shoes and nicely ironed uniform (sighs dreamily) I will never get sick of it. Wake up at 6:00 AM tomorrow and get ready as soon as possible! The worst part of school is going home - I never want it to end!

Today is Australia Day!

Today is Australia Day! That's right, I'm an Aussie gal. The 26th of January commemorates the arrival of the First Fleet, when Captain Cook discovered our land.  Summer out here has been terribly humid and today it will be 33 degrees in Sydney! That's what the prediction says. Through February the heat will keep on getting hotter and our air conditioning is constantly going. I think staying home with my family would have to be the best option.

A little history: Australia may well be the home of the worlds first people. Stone tools discovered in New South Wales, show that Aboriginals lived in Australia at least twelve thousand years before they appeared in Europe. It is supsected that there have been in excess of 18,500 generations of aboriginals!

Jelly the Stray Cat

Hi Bloggers,
Two days ago I met this cat named Jelly and I would like to tell a little story about his exciting arrival! Read it and weep.

The other day I went out to my front yard and I saw another cat! He had the deepest meow I had ever heard, his whiskers were as long as twigs and he was skinny. He had gigantic eyes with a khol outline and he was a grey tabby cat with white under his belly. I decided to call him Jelly the cat! That night, we fed him some food, but Lily was hunting Jelly down. We had to shoo Lily away from him. He stayed for two straight days with Lily and Rameses hunting him down, he kept on meowing in front of our yard and slept in his comfy bed of leaves.
The next day, I looked into the Southern Courier and looked into the missing section.

We called the owners, but it wasn't their cat after all. We decided Jelly would live with us and be our cat, but the other two territorial cats who dearly love our house, didn't like our new visitor, and sadly we haven't seen Jelly since. 

To Noisy for Food

The other day I was on YouTube looking at some boring, old stuff. Then, I clicked on the most funniest video ever. They're the most adorable little kitties ever! Wait, one problem. They wont shut up! So, if you hate noise, then it might be best to turn the their meows down, but you should still watch it.

The cat pounces on the nest

Putting the birds to there rest

The Midnight Watcher struts away

Another Star Sign?

You might have not heard, but apparently another star sign has come to town! Yep, that's right. 'Ophiuchus' is its name. Blog Makeover

Hello Bloggers
You may be wondering what happened to my blog. Well, this is an easy one to answer! I just went to 'Cute and Cool Blog Stuff'. When you see the designs they have in store for you, you will take them all, just like I did. There a millions to choose from and trillions that could suit your blog. You could get a matching template and header or you could even mix the templates and headers.

In order to get this you need to follow her and listen to my instructions. There is a selection of templates to choose from, so try as many as you want and see which one suits your blog best.

1. Choose your header and save to your computer

2. Go to 'Design' and go to 'Edit header'
3. After doing your header, it's on to your template
4. Choose template you want and copy code into HTML/Javascript.
5. Go to 'View Blog' and you will see that  your background and header is there.

Why do I still have my old template?

Your original template might still be showing. You might have Travel or Ethereal or Awesome etc.

How do you get rid of it? Well, that's easy. Go to design on the top right hand corner, go to 'Edit HTML'.

At the bottom it says 'Old Templates. Go there and you will see 'Select layout template'.

 

The first Sample blog will have written below 'Minima'. Click on that and then click on 'Save Template'.

                                    

Your blog will look like this instead.

My Two Favourite Cats - Lilly and Rameses

This story is about my two visitors, Rameses and Lily. They're cats and they visit all the time. I love them with all my heart and a day without them is like a day without chocolate and it is really unusual for me to not have my sweets.

June 2010 came

It was pouring rain

And you had needed to find shelter

You found our pergola

And sat for a while

A family of fivesaw you

And looked at your collar

'Rameses' said

We brought you inside

The months passed

And although you looked loved

We decided to fead you

Then, you called upon your friend 'Lily'

To share food and drink

The family of five saw you

And brought you inside too

The months passed

Until your owner looked for you

She came to the pergola

And found the family

She tried bringing you home

But both wouldn't go

My Art

I hope you have all enjoyed reading my blog <3 

I've revealed the secret life of cats and I've done poetry, but now I would love to show you my masterpieces.

The first is called 'The Wave'.
You can see the brushstrokes and the detailed dabbing for the top of the wave.

TIP- For the top of the wave, you scrunch up a tissue, put the white paint on the tissue, and dab at the top of the wave, which will sort of blend in the ocean's blue. Also, dab for the clouds, or you could just do circular strokes with your paint brush 

The second piece is called 'She Loves'.
You can see that this piece has a lot of sparkles and glitter and that is because I used glitter pens. For the background, I did a light shade of purple crayon and then, I wrote 'She Loves' in glitter pen. It took me about an hour and a half to draw this, then trace over it in dark lead, then colour it in.

Dawn arrived

The door slammed

And I saw your face

You gripped me tightly

And didn't let go

My tail swivelled slowly

Then, you left

A feeling came over me

"Mow Meow!" I screeched

"Bye!" you called

I waited until dusk

But you didn't come

I waited 'til dark

And you still hadn't arrived

I slept for ages

Trying to forget the time

Suddenly, a ghostly figure appeared

It held me tightly

And kissed my fur

I knew it was you

Your firm grip held me

And I could never forget

The Harbour looked so beautiful

The fireworks were so bright

What a wonderous sight

Corks sprung into the air

And party blowers were loudly blown

Music from 2010 played

And everyone danced

Shooting stars soared the sky

The Moon shone by the water

Everyone had the time of their lives
